The Brewers opened the score in the third inning. 2B Jonathan Villar hit a two-out single and came home on a double from 1B Eric Thames.

Milwaukee then added another run in the fifth. SS Orlando Arcia led off with a walk and advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt from SP Zach Davies. Jonathan Villar followed and reached on a fielding error by 2B Phil Gosselin, which enabled Orlando Arcia to cross home plate.

In the seventh, the Brewers had a two-run cushion again. CF Keon Broxton hit a leadoff single and went on to steal second base. He advanced to third base on a sacrifice bunt from Orlando Arcia and eventually came home on a ground rule double by 1B Jesus Aguilar.

Milwaukee scored two more runs in the ninth to put the game away. Jesus Aguilar homered with one out and Eric Thames hit his 12th long ball of the year, putting him one behind league-leading Ryan Zimmerman of the Washington Nationals.
