The New England Patriots are releasing RT Sebastian Vollmer. Since the 32-year old spent all of 2016 on the reserve/PUP list his contract of $2.5 million carried over to 2017. While retirement is an option the free agent market looks favorable for Sebastian Vollmer as there is a significant demand for offensive tackles throughout the league. Vollmer spent his entire career with the Patriots and won two Super Bowls with the franchise.

The New York Jets released Brandon Marshall as requested by the wide receiver. The 32-year old had only 59 catches for 788 yards and 3 touchdowns last season but hopes to join a playoff contender. Brandon Marshall was selected to the Pro Bowl six times and had a league-leading 14 receiving touchdowns in 2015. This move saves the Jets $7.5 million in cap space.
