1B Chris Parmalee blasts the New York Yankees (29-30) to a 12-6 victory over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (26-33).

Parmalee made his first start for the Yankees and went 3-for-5 with 3 runs, 2 HR and 3 RBI.

Los Angeles’ SP Jered Weaver struggled with velocity and New York’s SP Nathan Eovaldi struggled with control, making this game a high scoring affair.

In 5.1 innings Jered Weaver surrendered 9 hits, 2 walks and 6 earned runs while striking out 2. He now posts a 5.56 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP on the season.

Nathan Eovaldi pitched 5.1 innings, giving up 10 hits, 1 walk and 5 earned runs while striking out 4. His ERA and WHIP increased to 4.42 and 1.28, respectively.

For five innings both teams were exchanging runs but the Yankees scored eight straight runs in the sixth and seventh inning and cruised to a win.

CF Mike Trout, 1B Jefry Marte and SS Gregorio Petit hit home runs for the Angels. CF Jacoby Ellsbury, RF Carlos Beltran and Chris Parmalee (2) went the distance for the Yankees.

The Yankees tied a season-high with 17 hits.

SP Jhoulys Chacin (2-3, 4.50 ERA) and SP Ivan Nova (4-3, 4.41 ERA) will be on the mound tomorrow, as the Angels try to avoid a sweep in the final game of their four-game series.
