The Miami Marlins beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 to sweep their three-game series. The Fish have won 10 of their last 11 games. The Diamondbacks have lost six games in a row.

The Marlins scored their first run in the second inning. RF Giancarlo Stanton drew a leadoff walk and moved to second base on a flyout from CF Marcell Ozuna. One out later 2B Derek Dietrich hit a single to center field and drove in Giancarlo Stanton for the 1-0 lead.

Marcell Ozuna hit a two-out single in the bottom of the fourth inning. 1B Chris Johnson followed with a double to deep right field and Marcell Ozuna came home for Miami’s second run of the game.

CL A.J. Ramos started warming up in the eighth inning to earn a potential save but a two-run homer from LF Christian Yelich made sure there would be no save situation.

A.J. Ramos pitched regardless and needed only 13 throws to retire the side for the victory.

Arizona’s SP Robbie Ray (1-2) worked 5.1 innings, surrendering 6 runs, 1 walk and 2 earned runs while striking out 5. He now has a 4.70 ERA on the season with a 1.63 WHIP.

Miami’s SP Adam Conley (2-1) pitched 5.1 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6. His ERA and WHIP improved to 3.06 and 1.11, respectively.

Adam Conley, who pitched 7.2 hitless innings in his previous outing, now holds the club record for a starting pitcher with 11.1 consecutive hitless innings. In 2004, RP Armando Benitez set a Marlins record with 14 consecutive hitless innings by any pitcher.

Christian Yelich went 1-for-4 with 1 run, 1 HR and 2 RBI. He is batting .330 this season and has 16 runs, 3 HR and 14 RBI.

The Miami Marlins (15-12) host the Philadelphia Phillies (16-13) for a three-game series from Friday to Sunday.

The Arizona Diamondbacks (12-18) travel to the Atlanta Braves (7-20) to play a three-game series from Friday through Sunday.
